Kidney stones are solid deposits formed from concentrated minerals and salts. They develop when these substances become overly concentrated, leading to crystallization. These crystallized minerals and salts build up in the kidneys, eventually forming kidney stones, also known as “renal calculi,” “nephrolithiasis,” or “urolithiasis.”

Detecting kidney stones is relatively easy through urine tests or medical imaging techniques such as ultrasound or sonography. Kidney stones are most commonly found in individuals aged between 30 and 50 years. The initial symptoms include pain in the lower back or abdomen, blood in the urine, and vomiting. As the stone grows, it hardens, causing intense pain, acidity, and persistent vomiting.
